Alex Minter
Alex founded Astute Property Network in 2017 with a vision to create a trusted property advisory and acquisition business built around quality, integrity, care and genuinely representing the interests of the buyer.
After seeing firsthand how often property buyers were under represented, poorly advised or pushed toward unsuitable opportunities, Alex set out to build a different model. One centered on strategy, research, transparency and long term client outcomes.
With more than 1,000 strategic property acquisitions throughout his career, Alex has extensive experience helping investors understand what they are trying to achieve, identify the right markets and property types, and acquire assets that align with their personal financial and lifestyle objectives.
His role spans the broader strategic direction of APN, client relationships, property acquisition, industry partnerships and the continued development of the systems, research and processes that underpin the business. Alex also works closely with financial services professionals, corporate partners and referral networks across Australia, helping ensure their clients have access to professional, independent property guidance.
Under Alex’s leadership, Astute Property Network has developed a strong reputation within the financial services industry for property education, research and acquisition. The business continues to focus on well researched, established property opportunities across diverse Australian markets, with every recommendation grounded in fundamentals, not hype or short term sentiment.
For Alex, property investment has never been about just accumulating assets. It is about what those assets can create: Greater choice, independence, security and the ability to shape life on your own terms.
That philosophy continues to guide the way APN operates today by combining experience, research, relationships and care to help investors make better property decisions and build toward the future they want to create.
Director & Buyers Agent
Brad Taylor
Brad plays a key role at the very beginning of the Astute Property Network client journey, helping clients understand their broader strategy, position and long term objectives before any discussion turns to individual properties.
With a background in professional services and financial advice, Brad brings a big picture perspective to property investment. He holds a Diploma in Financial Services and has extensive experience working with clients around investment strategy.
Having moved away from providing financial advice, Brad today helps clients understand how property may fit within their overall objectives ensuring the numbers make sense before the property search begins.
Brad works closely with clients upfront to explore their objectives, borrowing capacity, available capital, projected cash flow and acceptable holding costs. This process helps establish an acquisition framework for the APN team, including the type of property, market and price range that may be appropriate for the client’s circumstances.
His previous experience as a financial adviser gives Brad an understanding of the bigger picture. Rather than viewing a property purchase on its own, he helps clients consider how the decision fits with their longer term wealth, retirement and lifestyle objectives.
Brad is known for creating a relaxed and approachable environment where clients can ask questions, work through the numbers and gain clarity before making significant investment decisions.
Staying true to his passion for improving people’s lives, Brad is also a co founder of a specialised gym catering to mature individuals, established in 2015 and managed by his wife Kylie.
After many years of conversations with clients about financial outcomes, Brad believes that true wealth extends beyond the size of an investment portfolio. Building financial security is important, but so too is investing in a healthy body, a strong mind and the ability to enjoy the lifestyle that wealth is ultimately designed to support.

David Clegg
National Relationships ManagerDavid brings more than 35 years of experience across financial services, and property experience to Astute Property Network, playing an important role in supporting our corporate partners and referral networks.
Working with both major financial institutions and boutique organisations, David has built an extensive career around developing professional relationships, and helping advisers and partners broaden the solutions they can offer their clients.
Holding a Diploma in Financial Services, David has a particular ability to simplify the numbers and concepts surrounding property investment and communicate them in a way that is practical and easy to understand. He presents at numerous expos nationally and brings considerable experience in educating both industry professionals and property investors.
David’s role at APN is working with our business and referral partners to ensure their clients are well supported throughout the property journey. He places enormous importance on communication, keeping partners informed and helping them understand how professional property advice can complement and integrate with their existing client proposition.
Outside APN, David still plays touch football although he admits the pace may not be quite what it once was. He is also the eternal optimist of the team, somehow beginning every season convinced the Wests Tigers, NSW Blues, Waratahs and Wallabies are all destined for glory.
Peter Bell
Peter is the Director of Par8o, an independent property research practice. He partners with Astute Property Network on selected property sourcing engagements where his depth of experience in property strategy, town planning, market research and geospatial analysis can add value to a client’s sourcing requirements.
He has 25+ years industry experience, including developing innovative property tech research products later acquired by Cotality (CoreLogic RPData), and currently undertakes ongoing market intelligence work for ASX listed developers including GemLife and Stockland.
Peter’s signature skillset is an intimate understanding of what data exists at every level of Australian geography, and how to weave these layers of information together into a defensible thesis on differing markets / property asset classes and their unique drivers.
He is the author of three books and a regular keynote speaker on housing and property economics.
Research & Strategic Advisor
Erin Hobday
Erin has been an integral part of Astute Property Network since its inception and plays a pivotal role in both the day to day operation of the business and the experience we deliver to our clients.
Highly organised, detail focused and process driven, Erin is instrumental in coordinating the many moving parts involved in a property purchase. She works closely with our clients and team throughout the acquisition process, assisting with contract coordination, documentation, key dates and communication between the various parties involved in a transaction.
Behind the scenes, Erin helps ensure contracts and important milestones are tracked and that clients are supported as their purchase progresses from an accepted offer through due diligence, finance, unconditional exchange and through to settlement.
With a background in aviation, Erin has a strong understanding of procedure, accuracy and the importance of getting the details right. These skills have translated into property, where deadlines, documentation and communication between multiple parties are critical.
Erin has also been instrumental in developing and managing many of the systems and processes that underpin Astute Property Network. In addition to her client and contract coordination responsibilities, she oversees administrative, financial and operational functions across the business.
Her ability to bring structure, organisation and consistency to what can otherwise be a complex process makes Erin an invaluable part of the APN team and an important point of support for our clients throughout their property journey.
